Abstract
The optimum conditions for the extraction of yellow pigment from orange peel with immersing and solvent refluxing technique were studied. The results showed that the optimuml conditions of immersing technique were: the ratio of 70% ethanol to orange peel weight 1:8 , orange peel was immersed at 50℃ for 3 times and 5h each time, amounted to 15h; the conditions of solvent refluxing technique were: the peel was bathed in 95℃ with water, solvent refluxing only for 2h at the same extracting solvent (70% ethanol solution) and solid-liquid ratio (1g:8mL). So the extraction time were shortened greatly compared with the solvent refluxing technique.
