Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of combining use of methotrexate and mifepristone on treating ectopic pregnancy. Methods 61cases of ectopic pregnancy were randomly divided into A and B groups. Group A with 31 cases were treated by 150mg of mifepristone administered orally one time and 75mg of methotrexate injected intramusclely one time. The previous cases who received only 75mg of methotrexate injected intramusclely were selected as control group. Results The success rate of the combination group was 87.1%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion The treatment of ectopic pregnancy with the combination of methotrexate and mifepristone is safe and effective. No acute intra-abdominal bleeding, ectopic mass ≤5CM in the largest dimension and titer of serum β-HCG5000IU/L, normal function of liver ,kidney and coagulation are mainly indications for medical treatment of ectopic pregnancy.
