Abstract
Aim To investigate the distribution of hepatitis C virus genotypesof patients in Kunming who co-infected with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)and hepatitis C virus (HCV) Methods The HCV genotypes 204 patients positive for HIV nucleic acid HCV viral load detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (PCR) were determine with reverse dot blotting,of which 60 cases were determined with Western blot test (WB) and confirmed to be infected with HIV.The differences of the distribution of hepatitis C virus genotypes between co-infected and non-infected group were analyzed and compared. Results Out of the 204 patients,85 patients with type 3b(HCV infection rate was the highest 41.6%);1b type HCV infection in HIV / HCV co-infection group, the infection rate (30.0%) was significantly higher than that of HCV incidence(20.0%)(P0.05).And 3b-type HCV infection in HIV/HCV co-infection group, the infection rate(35.0%)was significantly lower than that of HCV infection(44.2%)(P0.05).The incidence of type 1b,3a,and 3b-type HCV type complicated with HIV infection was high, while that of HCV type 2a and 6a-type complicated with HIV infection was low.The main transmission route was intravenous drug injection and followed by sexual contact. Conclusion The HCV subtypes found in Kunming City is 1b,3a,3b and 6a.HCV subtype 1b,the main subtype, and subtypes 3a,3b and 6a are of some proportions.
