Guizhou Culture during the Period from Qin to Han Dynasty

During the period from Qin to Han Dynasty,especially in Han times,owing to the immigration of inland big reputable families of Han nationality with their attached farmers,advanced culture of central plains and progressive mode of production were introduced into the remote Guizhou.The use of iron tools,cattle plough and water conservancy irrigation,which had changed the backward production situation in Guizhou,enriched its material culture.Confucian teaching-orientated Han culture transformed people' s ideology and aesthetic concept so that their spiritual life would become much more colorful.To adapt to social environment of Guizhou,Han Dynasty formulated the policy ofco-existence of prefectures and vassal statesunder control,and carried out loose management over its aboriginal princes and marquises and county magistrates.Guizhou enhanced its connection with the inlands through posthouses,meanwhile feudal ideology also permeated its social field.
