Abstract

Objective:To observe the expression of connective tissue growing factor(CTGF) in kidney of adriamycin induced nephropathy rats model, and investigate the relationship between CTGF and development of glomerulosclerosis.Methods:16 male SD rats were randomly divided into control group and model group, each group had 8 rats. The rats in model group were established nephropathy rats model by injecting adriamycin via caudal vein. The 24 urine protein, blood biochemical index and renal function index were respectively detected.Immunohistochemical staining and fluorescent quantitation PCR were used to detect the CTGF protein and mRNA expression in kidney. Results:Compared with control rats, the Alb of rats in model group decreased obviously(P0.01).Compared with control rats, the 24h urine protein,TC,BUN,Cr,expression of CTGF protein and mRNA in kidney of rats in model group increased significantly(P0.01).Conclusions:Over expression of CTGF is an important factor in development of glomerulosclerosis.CTGF may induce glomerulosclerosis by promoting accumulation of extracellular matrix.
