Abstract

The yellow seeded trait presents a major challenge to the rapeseed breeding at present due to lack of yellow-seeded germplasm in Brassica napus.The yellow-seeded B.juncea,using landrace Sichuan Yellow as the gene donor was crossed with the double-low B.napus cultivar to make an interspecific cross.The yellow-seeded plants were found in the BC1F2 progeny derived from this cross.The novel yellow-seeded B.napus lines with high oil content and double-low or low erucic quality have been developed after successive selfing of three generations.
