Abstract
Hunan Province is very rich in nonferrous metals and known as hometown of nonferrous metals.After many years of mining,more than 90% mines are facing a crisis of ore reserves.It has become more difficult to find new resources with common prospecting techniques.Therefore,in the process of mineral exploration and orebody prediction,only under the guidance of new theories and by adopting new ideas and techniques,paying attention to new ore-forming and-controlling factors,new genetic types and models of ore deposits,thoroughly analyzing available achievements and carrying out on-the-spot investigations,can a breakthrough in mineral exploration and orebody prediction in mines that have a resource crisis be made.
