The Difference between Western Needling and Traditional Acupuncture in Treating Chronic Pain

Abstract
We have explored the difference and similarity of western needling and traditional acupuncture in treating chronic pain through comparing superficial locations,mechanism and clinical effects of western needling and traditional acupuncture.Western needling of trigger point in treating chronic pain has obtained social recognition and it had the difference and similarity comparing with traditional acupuncture which was the extension and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine founded on the modern anatomy,physiology and pathology.
