Abstract
The strength variability of cast-in cement mortar has beenclosely affected by the following factors namely: 1, mixtures of mortar, 2, specimen features of mortar and 3, various procedures of masonry construction including humidity of masonry unit, working period of mortar and masonry unit, level of masonry construction etc. All of these factors should not be neglected. It is,therefore, that prometion of construction level and reduction of variablity of mortar strength should be strictly carried out.And finally in aseismatic region, the structure's aseismatic shearing strength of mortar should be well designed.
