Abstract
Weishui River less-polluted raw water was treated coagulated using polyaluminum chloride ( PAC) as coagulator and modified active silica as coagulant aid through jar tests. The coagulant effect was investigated and the best activated modified active silica acid 's operating parameters were determined, including the dosage of PAC and activated modified active silica acid's viscosity, holding time, adding dosage and time as well as keeping time. The turbidity removal rate was over 95% .Moreover, the economical efficiency of treatment process was evaluated. The results can provide a scientific basis for the treatment and use of surface less-polluted water.
