Abstract
The urgent problem to be solved in the traffic management of the city roadway is how to solve the city traffic problem completely,how to make the most of the facilities now available,and how to accomplish the sustainable development of cities.The necessity of developing intelligent transportation system is dissussed from the angle of transportation management,which is the key to the city developmet.
