As the design art is widely applied in the human life,it is becoming the main subject of the design art that the traditional practice art is how to adequate the real demands and formed the national modern design.The Dunhuang Grotto Arts are not the pure art masterpiece,but the various form and the plenty connotation of the treasure-house of the practical art.There are many the practical art forms including architecture,statue,fresco and the architecture,dress,implements,pattern in the architecture and fresco in the Dunhuang Grotto Arts.They are all the model of the traditional design art in China.Therefore,this paper will systematic discuss thinking and method for Dunhuang design art aesthetics.The chief purpose is that structures the system of the Dunhuang design art and aesthetics and expends the world of the Dunhuang art.
