Abstract

Biodegradation for polycyclic aro ma tic hydrocarbons(PAHs )is very diverse. As bioremediation b y surfactants is o ften used to accelerate solubility of PAH s,we researched anthracene' s degrada tion in the presence of diff erent surfactants. The results indicated that using surfactants wa s able to accelerate the degradation of PAHs greatly. In the mea ntime, the Biosurfactants exhibited an excellent efficacy than did chemi cal sur factants. For example,in the presence of no surfactants, added SD S,added Twee n-20and inoculated bacteria which can pr oduce surfanctants, after 6days,t h e corresponding concentration of an thracene was reduced from initial 250穖L-1 to 214靏穖L-1 ,199.2靏穖L-1 ,138.7靏穖L-1 and 114.8靏穖L-1 ,respectively, showing strongly ability of degradation of anthracene by the added xenobiotics.
