Abstract
There are flooding,water logging and drought disasters in plaint area.But in the past,more attentions are paid on flooding,water logging control while less on drought.It is necessary to use the rainfall efficiently,regulate the farmland water resources so as to reduce the losses caused by drought and keep a good soil and water environment for crop cultivation.Base on the field experiments in Huaibei Plain of Anhui Province,this article analyzed the feasibility of water storage in main drainage canal and effect of regulation for surface runoff,soil and groundwater,and put forward technique parameters and mode of the water storage facility.Result showed that,with the controlled facility,the water storage is about 19×103 m3/km of in the main drainage canal,the groundwater table in farmland is raise about 0.3 to 0.5 m and the crop water use is increased about 50 to 80 mm comparing with the non controlled main drainage canal.The annual total water resources storage in the controlled main drainage canal is about 110 mm,which is about 13% of the annual precipitation.If the controlled facility is operated properly,there is little effect for its drainage function or lower its original drainage standard.The controlled main drainage canal is a suitable method in Huaibei Plain,which can regulate the farmland water resources,alleviate the water shortage,improve the farmland ecology and environment,and regulate the water allocation both in time and space.
