Abstract
Through soil seed bank anlysis and vegetation restoration determination in Bashang region of Hebei province, the change characteristics and relationship between soil seed bank and plant species above the ground were studied for discussing the process of vegetation restoration and its stability in old-field.There were some results showed as below:1)Species diversity of vegetation and soil seed bank in old-field was higher than that in over-grazed field,in which its succession stage was from annual herbaceous plant to perennial herbaceous plant;2)Both richness indexes of species in the seed bank and above-ground vegetation of the old-field(25,20) had increased over that in overgrazed pature field(16,17);3) The number of co-occurring species both in the soil seed bank and aboveground vegetation in the old field(8 species) was more than that in control field(3 species),which led to decrease in compositional similarity between the seed bank and the vegetation.
