Abstract

In order to investigate the feasibility of co-process of municipal solid waste incinerator bottom ash(MSWIBA) in cement kilns, use MSWIBA to replace partial of the siliceous raw material, focus on the heavy metal leaching toxicity of MSWIBA dosed cement with Toxicity Characteristics Leaching Procedure(TCLP),effect of MSWIBA on clinker calcination, cement hydration and properties were studied by strength test and XRD/SEM. Results indicate that as MSWIBA adding quantity varies from 0 to 8%,it is benefit for raw meal sintering, and has no obvious adverse effect on setting time,3 d/28 d strength of the cement, and heavy metal leaching concentration of the cement can meet the environmental quality standards of Ⅱ surface water according to GB 3828—2002 Ground water environment quality standard. MSWIBA has little influence on clinker minerals and hydration products. The heavy metal of MSWIBA get good immobilized due to solid solution in clinker mineral and Package in the hydration products.
