Abstract
Objective: To determine the content of the vitamins in Ming Radix Codonopsis and the inorganic elements in their herbal decoction and paste. Method: Made the determination by using high-performance liquid chromatograpgy, fluorophotometry and scanning electron microanalyszer. Result: Ming Radix Codonopsis contains fat-soluble vitamin E, K and water-soluble vitamin C, B1, B2 and the herbal decoction and paste contains higher potassium and calcium ion. Conclusion: The result of the study has provided the experimental basis for Radix Codonopsis dietotherapy and is favorable to enlarge the export of Radix Codonopsis.
