Abstract

Different wild eggplants and Xi'anlu were used as rootstocks and scion respectively. Own-rooted seedlings of Xi'anlu were looked upon as CK. Disease-resistance and yield were increased after graft, and the sequence was S.tor-CKCRP-CKS.int-CKS.sis-CKCK. There was a positive correlation between disease-resistance and yield increase. The root exudates of rootstocks restrained Verticillium dahliae Kleb spore germination, while CK stimulated it. The result indicated that the contents of total sugars and amino acids varied greatly in root exduates after graft. Contents of some amino acids which had major suppressive effects on spore germination reduced significantly. An adverse rhizosphere circumstance for spore germination was created after graft.
