Abstract
In this paper, the effects of aqueous extracts from leaves, peels and branches of Pugionium cornutum on the germination of cabbage seed, growth and physiological indexes of cabbage seedling were studied by means of bioassay in laboratory. The results showed that aquatic extracts from different parts inhibited cabbage seed germination and seedling growth, and the inhibition effect enhanced with the increase of concentration. The different concentrations of aquatic extracts from different parts decreased chlorophyll, soluble protein contents and root activity of cabbage seedling, inhibited superoxide dismutase(SOD) and peroidase(POD) activities of the cabbage seedlings, increased leaf conductivity and MDA contents. The allelopathic effect order of aqueous extracts from different parts of P. cornutum was leafpeelbranch.
