Abstract

Being unique in its art form, the mural painting as an old and modern art has been promising in Chinese art history for more than a thousand years. The modern mural painting differs from the traditional mural painting and other painting styles, thus becoming an interdisciplinary branch that links architecture, environment, drawing and material science. As the modern mural painting is characterized with its strong expressive power, direct effect and the free presentation, its large-sized painting plane, advanced art materials and the harmony of the architecture and the environment make the mural painting full of artistic charm.
