Metaphor and Foreign Language Teaching

Metaphor as a way in which the meaning shifts,is closely associated with culture,and is found ubiquitous within language.Studies on this subject has contributed to foreign language teaching in multiple ways,namely,metaphor and using foreign language as a thinking pattern,metaphor and culture teaching,metaphor and vocabulary teaching,etc.Hereby metaphor serves as a new approach to advancing foreign language teaching.
