Abstract

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is deeply influenced by the Spring and Autumn Annals,thus having a remarkable trait of the latter.The idea of supporting Liu Bei and opposing Cao Cao in Romance of the Three Kingdoms reflects the great righteousness in the Spring and Autumn Annals.The writing style of implying blame and appraisal in one word,recording and revising the historical materials,as well as the simple but standard narration way,are all affected by the Spring and Autumn Annals.The motive that Luo Guangzhong wrote Romance of the Three Kingdoms is similar to that of Confucius wrote the Spring and Autumn Annals.The Spring and Autumn Annals has great impact of its own.Besides,there is a tradition that literature and history are not divided in ancient Chinese literature.All these factors contribute to the formation of trait of the Spring and Autumn Annals of Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
