Abstract
In order to solve the flood problem and develop water resources in the Yangtze River Basin, some water resources project have been constructed on the main stem and tributary of the Yangtze River and also many projects are being in construction or planning. In the meantime of producing huge economic and social benefits for the Yangtze River Basin by these projects, some adverse impacts on water environment, especially on fishery resources will also occur. This paper briefly presents the impact on fishery resources in the Yangtze River by various large water resources project and analyzes the relation of fishery resources variation and cascade development in the Yangtze River Basin and rescue measures for fishery resources.
