Abstract
Objective To explore the value of the left ventricular regional systolic myocardial function quantitatively before and after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in patients with acute myocardial infarction by strain rate imaging(SRI).Methods 48 patients with acute left ventricular anterior wall myocardial infarction were performed with PCI.The values of systolic strain rate(SRI)at 9 segments supplied by left anterior descending artery and left ventricular regional systolic function and reject fraction(EF)were measured in patients with myocardial infarction before PCI and 7 days and 3 months after PCI.Then the SRI values of these abnormal segments before and after PCI were compared.Results Compared with those of before percutaneous coronary intervention,the strain rates of 7 days after percutaneous coronary intervention were increased(P0.05).The further increase was noticed at 3 months.The EF changes were similar at 7 days and 3 months follow-up.Conclusion Strain rate imaging can quantitively analysis the left ventricular regional myocardial functional changes.
