Abstract

Bacillus amyloliquefaciens is a kind of biocontrol bacterium which has great ability against fungi and bacteria, thereby it has high research values and potential for development in biological control of postharvest diseases of fruits and vegetables. The separation and purification of antifungal proteins produced by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, the disease resistant mechanisms and the application of biocontrol of antifungal proteins were summarized. The future potential application in biocontrol of postharvest diseases of fruits and vegetables was also discussed.
