Effects of Ligustrazine on Expression of Stem Cell Factor in Syngenic Bone Marrow Transplantation of Mice

Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of Ligustrazine on expression of stem cell factor in syngenic bone marrow transplantation(BMT)mice.Methods Mice were divides into three groups:normal control group,BMT control group,and Ligustrazine treated groups.BMT mouse models were established.The BMT control group and the ligustrazine treated group were given orally 0.2ml saline and 2mg Ligustrazine respectively twice a day.On the day 7,14,21 after BMT,mice were killed.Peripheral blood cell and bone marrow nucleared cell were detected.Histological observation of bone marrow was made and the stem cell factor expression was assayed by immunohistochemistry.Results In Ligustrazine treated group,the peripheral blood cell,bone marrow nucleared cell on the days 7,14,21after BMT were higher than the BMT control group. The expression than in the BMT control group(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion Ligustrazine can enhances SCF expression in bone marrow after syngenic bone marrow transplantation in mice,which may be related to the mechanisms underlying the Ligustrazine accelerating hematopoietic reconstitution in allogenic bone marrow transplantation.
