TREATMENT OF CYSTS IN PARANASAL SINUSES BY ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY

Abstract

Objective:To search for good surgical procedures for resecting nasal sinus cyst with endoscopy. Methods:20 cases of nasal sinus cyst were cured by means of functional endoscopic sinus surgery, including 10 cases of unilateral maxillary sinus cyst, 3 ethmoid sinus cyst, 2 sphenoid sinus cyst, 2 frontal sinus cyst and 1 multi sinus cyst(frontal,ethmoid maxillary sinus). Results:No recurrence was found during 8～40 months follow up. Conclusion:The endoscopic sinus surgery is a gook choice for the treatment of most sinus cyst because it incurs little injury and leaves no facial scars.
