Abstract
Objective To study the effect of curcumin on the apoptosis of osteosarcoma cell line MG63.Methods After MG63 cells were treated with different concentration(0、25、50 and 75 μM) curcumin for 24 h,CCK8 assay was used to evaluate the proliferation and TUNEL assay was used to investigate the apoptosis of MG63 cells.Western blotting was performed to detect the expression level of p-AKT,Bax,Bcl-2 and Caspase 3.Results During the concentration of 0 to 75 μM,curcumin above 50 μM could inhibit the proliferation, induce the apoptosis of MG63 cells, and could inhibit the phosphorylation of AKT protein, while upregulate the expression of Bax and cleaved 3.Conclusion Curcumin could induce MG63 cells apoptosis by regulating AKT/Bax-Bcl-2/Caspase 3 pathway.
