Discord and Inversion: Some Reflections on Chinese Literary Criticism and Literature in the 20th Century

Concerning the aphasia of Chinese literary criticism at the turn of the century and for the aim of reconstructing the discourse of modern Chinese literary criticism, this paper examines thoroughly the evolution of the modern Chinese literary criticism and literature in the 20th Century, and draws a conclusion that the aphasia of Chinese literary criticism results from the discord, inversion, alienation and dislocation of the relationship between literary criticism and literature.
