Abstract
The characteristics and function of information technology applied in packaging were introduced, which differs from traditional way of simple express of product information for packaging commodities. Some instances were given to the application and improvement of packaging information technology in packaging function, material circulation management and so on. The concept of packaging information technology was introduced to widen the application space of packaging technology.
