Abstract
Most of the articles discussing new words pay more attention to the new meanings of the words,but less to rhetoric angle.The author reviews the present situation of new words and the significance of the study of the rhetoric formation of new words and analyzes several methods in rhetoric formation of new words,such as simile,analogy,and simulation.
