Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical value of laparoscopy in transabdominal preperitoneal prosthesis. Methods 33 patients with inguinal hernia who were admitted to our hospital from August 2013 to December 2014 were selected as observation group, which was treated with Transabdominal Preperitoneal Prosthesis(TAPP). 30 patients who were treated with Lichtenstein method during the same period were selected as control group. The clinical curative effect of two surgical treatments was compared. Results The differences in surgical time, time of postoperative off-bed, length of stay and Hospitalization expense of two groups were statistically significant(P 0.05). The difference in intraoperative blood loss of two groups was not significant(P 0.05). Occurrence rate of complication of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group(P 0.05), which was statistically significant. The difference in one-year occurrence rate of two groups was not statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopy in transabdominal preperitoneal prosthesis is a safe treatment technology with significant curative effect and important application value, which can improve postoperative recovery significantly and lower occurrence rate of complication. However, the high surgery cost is a mainly factor that limit its clinical application.
