Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of the comprehensive sleep interventions on sleep quality of college students with poor sleep. Methods Among the college students with poor sleep quality who were screened by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),80 cases were selected by systematic sampling and randomly allocated to the intervention group(n=40) and the control group(n=40).The students in the intervention group received comprehensive sleep interventions, including health education, stimulus control therapy, music therapy, and progressive muscle relaxation training. The sleep quality was measured using PSQI one month after the intervention. Results The scores of subjective sleep quality, sleep time, sleep efficiency, daytime dysfunction and PSQI global score in the control group were significantly higher than those of the intervention group(P0.05 or P0.01).The post-test scores of subjective sleep quality, sleep time, sleep efficiency, daytime dysfunction and PSQI global score in the intervention group were significantly lower than those of the pre-test(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusions Comprehensive sleep interventions can improve the subjective sleep quality, sleep time, sleep efficiency and reduce the daytime dysfunction for college students.
