A Research on Regional Differences in Tourism Development of Anhui Province and Its Development Direction

Anhui Province is quite rich in tourism resources.Meanwhile,great differences exist in tourism development in different areas of the province.By selecting 11 indicators such as the total tourism income,domestic tourism income,the number of domestic tourists,the number of starred hotels,by means of the method of principal component analysis,this paper evaluates the comprehensive strength of tourism development of 17 cities in Anhui Province and divides the whole province into four types, i.e.well-developed,more advanced,developing,and under development.A preliminary study is done of the development direction of these different types of areas.
