“The end of history ”under the perspective of debate: Derrida and Fukuyama

Jacques Derrida and Francis Fukuyama have had an intense debate about problem of the end of history.On basic academic position,their methods and ideas are different.However,the relationship between Derrida 's method of deconstruction and Fukuyama 's theory ofthe end of historyare not completely opposite.Derrida is not totally against historic commitment.The key of problem is that commitment must be achieved and there should be action and practice.Derrida is against Fukuyama because Fukuyama's optimistic and arbitrary stance.They have something in common.They are both to answer question of how people could live better in context of modernity.
