Abstract
As one important part on opera critical history during Ming dynasty, Wang Shi-zhen's Quzao played a crucial role in the progress from the theory of instruction to the theory of stage, and scattering explanation to comprehensive research. While the opera critics paid little attention to Wang's Quzao, this paper tries to make a just appraisal to Wang and his Quzao in opera critical history through objective study.
