Abstract

Asthma is a chronic airway inflammation,the main pathological changes includes airway inflammation,smooth muscle dysfunction and airway remodeling.As a pleiotropic cytokine,TGF-β1 involves in airway inflammation response and airway reconstruction through various pathways.This paper reviews the effect and potential mechanism of TGF-β1 in airway inflammation and remodeling.
