Abstract

By adopting the degradation process of Rhodamine B solution as model reaction, the factors influencing the degradation effect of P25(commercial nano-TiO2)such as pH value of the system and the dosage of additional H2O2 oxidant were discussed. The experimental results showed that the degradation rate of Rhodamine B solution was less than 5 % using P25 as photocatalyst under the irradiation of 250W mercury lamp, and the degradation rate increased significantly when increasing the acidity of the system or adding the dosage of H2O2 oxidant. The degradation rate of Rhodamine B was more than 90 % at 80 min with the pH value 3 and adding 1.5mL H2O2,and the degradation rate can reach above 90 % at 120 min when the pH value is 6 and the dosage of H2O2is 5mL.
