Clinical efficacy of compound ipratropium bromide for severe asthma exacerbation

Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical efficacy of compound ipratropium bromide for severe asthma exacerbation. Methods Selected 54 cases with severe asthma exacerbation from Jan 2010 to Jan 2012 were divided into study group and control group.Study group was treated with compound ipratropium bromide based on conventional treatment,the control group was treated with salbutamol.Clinical efficacy of two groups were compared.Results Vital signs index,lung function index of two groups showed significant difference before and after treatment(P0.05 or P0.01).After treatment of 30 min and 1 h,cases of symptom improvement of study group were more than control group(P0.05 or P0.01).Cough,gasp, suppression of study group disappeared shorter than control group(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion Compound ipratropium bromide in treatment of severe asthma exacerbation shows rapid effects and better efficacy.
