Abstract

In order to control the danger of the excavation when the new underground substation chamber heading through with the old substation chamber in the mine, the millisecond differential blasting, cut blasting, smooth blasting, vibration excavation and series controlled blasting technologies were applied for the heading through excavation. The blasting parameter selection and blasting borehole layout were made individually at the distance of 10 to 40 m section, the distance of 4 to 2 m section and distance of 2 m section before the holing through between the substations. The inspection and measurement of the site blasting vibration showed that the selection of blasting parameter selected was rational and the construction technology was feasible with good benefits.
