Abstract
Objective To observe the changes of amino acid, superoxide dismutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT)in the hemolymph of Musca domestica larva before and after in the diapause. To explore the biochemical mechanism in diapause of Musca domestica larva. Methods Diapause of Musca domestica larva was inducted by low temperature. The amino acid content in the hemolymph in the diapause and nondiapause groups were detected by automatic amino acid analyzer. The SOD and CAT content in the hemolymph of Musca domestica larva in the diapause and nondiapause groups were detected by ultraviolet spectrophotometer. Results Amino acid content of the hemolymph in all diapause groups were lower than the nondiapause group, except for the cystine content in the diapause 20 d group, which increased. The contents of SOD,CAT in the diapause groups were all lower than the nondiapause group. With the diapause time prolongs, the SOD and CAT content in the diapause groups increased gradually. Conclusion The amino acid content was decreased in the body of the diapause Musca domestica larva. The activity of SOD and CAT was obviously lower.
