Abstract
Soil enzymatic activities and their relationships with soil nutrients of major plant communities in Songnen alkaline grassland were examined. The results indicated that soil enzymatic activities varied in different plant communities. Catalase(CAT) activity was the largest in Suaeda glauca community. Polyphenol oxidase(POX) and peroxidase(PEX) activities were higher in alkali spot soil,Suaeda glauca and Suaeda glauca-Chloris virgata community than in other communities. As while as protease(PRO),invertase(INT) and alkali phosphatase(ALP) were higher in Aneurolepidium chinense-Carex duriusetla and dicotyledonous weeds community. The correlation analysis showed there were significant correlation between POX,PEX,PRO,INT and ALP. There were also significant correlation between POX,PEX,PRO,INT,ALP and soil total N,alkali N,available P,organic matter.
