Abstract
The source of biomass energy including straws,firewood,poultry manures,urban waste,industry organic waste and so on were summarized.Its characteristics compared with conventional energy as renewable,cleanable and zero emission effect of carbondioxide was described.The utilization technologies,present status and developing prospect of biomass energy at home and abroad were also discussed.The main advanced techniques of biomass energy utilization were pyrolysis gasification and liquefaction in the current world.The technique of the preparation of liquid fuel alcohol had already entered commercial demonstration stage.
