Abstract

Objective:To discuss the effect of shuanghuangbu delivery device on the regeneration of the experimental periodontium.Methods:The second incisor and the canine of four beagle dogs were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.Shuanghuangbu was applied to periodontal defect in the experimental group and no disposition to periodontal defect in the control group.The specimens were respectively obtained in one month and three months after operation and then observed.Furthermore,the height of new bone and cementum formation and the length of junctional epithelium were measured in the two groups.Results:The heights of new bone and cementum regeneration in the experimental group were extremely bigger than those in the control group on one month and three months postoperatively ( P 0.05).The length of junctional epithelium of the experimental group were less than that of the control group on one month postoperatively( P 0.05),but there was no significant difference between two groups on three months ( P 0.05).Conclusion:Shuanghuangbu can obviously promote the new bone and cementum formation,restrain the migration of junctional epithelium and enhance the regeneration of periodontal tissue.
