Abstract
Gutianshan Natural Reserve is situated in 29 21'N.and 118 14'E. at the west of Kaihua County in Zhejiang Province. The total area is about 8303.6 hectares and Qingjian, its highest peak, is 1246m high above sea level . Gutianshan mountain district lies in the central subtropics. Its climate is warm and moist. The flora of Gutianshan area abounds with plant species and its seed plant list of primary study includes 136 families, 564genera and 1186 species. In general its origin is rather ancient and its geographical compositions are complicated too. According to statistics and analysis of genera in the present flora , 564 genera can be divided into 14 distribution-types. The ratio of tropical and temperate genera is respectively 46.47% and 51.57%. So its flora is characterized by transitional floristic elements and dominated by tropical ones. Ten Chinese endemic genera and 17 species which belong to Chinese key wild protected plant are found. Eight new-record species of Zhejiang geographical distribution are discovered.
