Research Progress in Total Biodegradable Starch Plastics

Abstract

This paper introduces the research of biodegradable plastics,especially totally biodegradable starch plastics including thermoplastic starch plastics,starch/biodegradable polymer blends,and starch/natural polymer blends.It focused on the principle and advantage of thermoplastic starch plastics as well as the selection and matching of plasticizer,the properties of the starch based blends with PBS,PVA,PCL,PLA,cellulose,lignin,and protein.The current challenge of total biodegradable starch plastics was analyzed.The prospect of total biodegradable starch plastics was given.
