Abstract
In order to find out the pattern of influence of different factors such as the depth, thickness, and location of the seepage prevention curtain on its impervious effect, the seepage field in concrete gravity dam foundation was analyzed with numerical simulation method by using software-Fluent based on the theory of seepage. After the solution being converged, isobaric lines, velocity vector diagrams, scatter plots of velocity and pressure in the seepage field were found. It was summarized that the impervious effect of the curtain depended on its own permeability;curtain's depth would have bigger effect on the uplift pressure of the dam foundation, curtain's thickness would have the effect mainly on the seepage flow, and curtain's location would have the influence on the uplift pressure of the dam foundation only.
