Analysis on Floral Characteristics of the Landscape Plants in Xinxiang

Based on the field survey and literature review,the floral analysis on landscape plant resources in Xinxiang was conducted.The results indicated that there were 311species(including varieties)belonging to 161genera in 74families in Xinxiang,and most of them were woody plant species.There were 17large and middle families which included 81genera and 205species.The 57single-species families and regional few-species families consisted of 106species and 80genera.The analysis on proportion characteristics of families,genera and species showed that more families and genera included less species,whereas less family included more species.Twenty nine tropical families accounted for 50.37% of the total non-cosmopolitan families,23temperate families for 42.59%,and 2families uniquely distributed in China,accounting for 3.70%.The analysis on the number of species contained in the families showed that the temperate and cosmopolitan families in Xinxiang contained more species although there were a number of tropical families.At the level of genus,there were 42tropical genera which were mainly pan-tropical distributed genera,100temperate genera in which the North Temperate genera were the most,and there were 7endemic genera in China.So the design of the landscape plant in Xinxiang should tend to ornamental native tree species,for the exotic tree species we should strengthen invasive ecology risk assessment.
