Research on Middleware Technology in Pervasive Computing

Pervasive computing as a new computing paradigm adds more requirements to mid dleware. Problems that challenge pervasive computing middleware are summa rized based on the analysis of characteristics of pervasive computing. Four design principles are proposed. COTS middleware and some technology trends for pervasive computing middleware research are also introduced at the end.
