Abstract

The copper deposit in Kekeqi ore area occurs separately in marine pyroclastic sedimentary rocks of the second rock section in the Benbatu Formation of Middle Carboniferous and the second rock section in the Amushan Formation of Upper Carboniferous with its surface in the form of an iron cap and the rock being limontization as well as some malachite being found in the exploratory trench. The genesis type of this copper deposit belongs to marine volcanic type.A distinct anomalistic reaction of induced electronic survey on the upper side of the underground copper ore body has been detected, which is a favourable indicator for prospecting copper ore body occurred in marine pyroclastic stratum of this area.In this article, the geological background of the region where the copper deposit is located, and the geological characteristics of the ore area and deposit(ore body), along with the geophysical characteristics are discussed with an elementary analysis of the condition and factors of inducing anomaly caused by minerals,as well as the evaluation of the anomaly being referred too.In addition some prospecting proposal has also been suggested in this article.
